Primer Sight words are the most frequently used words in the English language. This primer worksheet includes the 52 sight words in alphabetical order. The grade level for primer is usually from kindergarten through first grade.
Sight words, often also called high frequency sight words, are commonly used words that young children are encouraged to memorize as a whole by sight, so that they can automatically recognize these words in print without having to use any strategies to decode.
These are the words like ‘with’, ‘saw’, ‘at’, ‘did’, and so on. They are usually small, and easily recognized, and the spelling of these words is not always straightforward in regard to how they sound.
